Doppleganger Action

Uh… did anyone else notice the Chris doppleganger that seemed to be hovering around the conductor’s left elbow during Praise to the Man at the Priesthood session? It didn’t look exactly like Chris… just eerily similar, lol!

Oh… and I’d like to thank the CoJCoLDS for changing from a Microsoft/Real video stream to a Java based one. We’re enjoying conference in the living room via live stream to the TV. It’s awesome!

  1. Hey thanks for the video stream info. How did you figure that out? We tried to watch it on the PS3 since it’s hooked up to the TV in the living room, but no luck without installing Microsoft. We ended up watching it on my laptop on the coffee table.

  2. I just went to KSL.com, clicked on the watch conference live button. And instead of getting some install this Microsoft doohicky giberish, it loaded a Java applet, said click “Trust” when a pop-up appeared, and BAM… conference-at-home.

And for the record, yes, it was on my laptop. But I have this thing called technology, where my laptop video was piped to the TV and my laptop sound was piped through my amp. My neighbors could’ve listened to conference too if I turned it up high enough, lol!

  3. Nope, no BYU-TV. It’s part of an extra package I don’t want to pay for. It didn’t used to be. But then Cox thought of a way to make extra money. For the past couple of years, they’ve made it free except for the months of April and October – go figure. It’s funny, in March when Dad was out here working on my house, he had it on for most of the day. But then a couple of weeks later at conference we turned to that channel and were greeted with a message that said it was now a pay channel and call their 800# to subscribe.

Jere, Joe was lamenting he hadn’t brought over the cable that would have hooked my laptop up to the TV. I didn’t even think of KSL.com. That’s what’s big brothers are for, eh? Speaking of technology, my surround sound speaker system is finally dying a slow death. Do you know of any good but affordable wireless speaker systems out there?

  4. No BYU-TV here either… same as Liss… it’s extra. We have the bare bones cable as it is which means I really miss ESPN too.

And I don’t know much about surround sound systems. Although Christmas is coming, maybe I’ll start learning. lol
