This Could Be Bad

Well, hair is cut, so is the lawn. And we’re off. Taking Becky to her very first U of M game at the Big House! Although it should be decent, there is the potential that things could go bad. Then straight from there to watch the BYU vs. Oklahoma game. Which is almost certain to be bad on one scale or another.

  1. Looks like you guys were good luck. I hope you plan on attending all the UM games and watching the BYU games, because it seems like whatever you did worked. Both teams won. Looks like you have to cut your hair and the lawn every week.

    Watched the U of M game hoping to see y’all, so great game to go to. Partied till midnight (only in Provo does a celebration after a win this huge end at midnight) somewhat wishing I’d driven up to greet the team at the airport. Awesome stuff.

  3. Well, that turned out better than expected. What a fun 7.5 hours that was yesterday. That 3rd or 4th touchdown, the one that was the long, over the shoulder reception for a touchdown pretty much happened right in front of us. So you subconsciously probably saw us. But wow, BYU made some pretty BYU-ish mistakes and survived. You know, turnovers, the kickoff that went out of bounds. That type of stuff. Crazy. What an awesome football game though. And I can’t tell you how nice it was to see a secondary for the first time in what, 13 games? There are some silver linings in both wins though, but I’ll post those later in the week. I’m too busy enjoying things right now! :)

    And no Steve, you did not want to drive up and greet the team. That’s shoddy thinking. We did not win the Mythical National Championship or anything, we won our first game. It was a huge win, but it’s just the first game. It’s a long season still (small hint at some of the silver linings for later).

    In the mean time though… Rise and shout… Hail! Hail!

  4. Ode to the wisdom of the AGED and WISE. I’m in line with Jere. Since I couldn’t watch the game yesterday I stayed up late watching old BYU-Utah games that I was transferring to DVDs. Anyways I was thinking that though last night was a great win, it made me think of the last time BYU beat a top 5 team. 1990, I don’t think BYU even won the WAC, because I think we lost the Utah game. So hopefully the team learns from the great expectations of last year and takes things a game at a time. Let’s not get too ahead of ourselves. GO Cougars and especially next week let’s hope the Wolverines pound the Irish!!!

  7. I’ve got some Irish stuff that was pretty funny coming, I’m planning on putting it in my posts about my thoughts on the two wins later on though, along with a really funny line from Becky that she said sometime during the 3rd quarter.
