THE Summer Movie Event of the Year

So, if you see any ONE movie this entire summer then go see the newest Disney/Pixar production entitled “Up”. Easily the best movie I’ve seen in theaters this year. Yeah, even better than Star Trek. There, I said it. Plus, if you go see it in 3D you get some cool 3D glasses like the old man’s (Mr. Fredrickson). You can watch the trailer on apple.com trailers
To quote a friend: “By the end of the movie, I wasn’t sure if my tears were from laughing or crying” -Melinda Rich (Jr.)
OK, so maybe that wasn’t the exact quote. But it was something like that.

PS: Here’s another trailer for you to check out, for those of you who have seen the trailer to Where the Wild Things Are

Small Change

What’s up all?! Just a quick note to mention a change I had to make with the comment system. There has been a huge influx of spam comments the last month, many of which are getting through to actual posts before I have a chance to delete them. So, I have changed the settings so that it won’t let anyone who already doesn’t have a previously “approved” comment post a new comment without it being moderated. Moderated just means I have to look at the comment and approve it before it will appear on the website. This should be retroactive to those who already have posted before, once you’ve been approved the first time, you can post freely without being moderated. But if not, and you post something that doesn’t show up right away, give it some time and it will eventually get through. Questions? Just leave a comment (hah)! ;)

Next Summer Blockbuster

Now I know some of you are looking forward to the action packed pack-ness that this summer’s blockbuster list is throwing at you. Some of you might be excited for the new Terminator movie starring Batman, while others are holding out for Transformers 2 starring Stanley Yelnats. Well, just a word of advice to those of you leaning towards either one: don’t see them. Why? Because everyone should really be holding out for the new Transforminators movie. Check it. If you don’t smile at least once during this trailer, you just might be a transforminator yourself!

Star Trek

So even if you’re not a Star Trek fan, you should check out the new movie. Bones was always my favorite character and this movies just re-inforces it. I think they did a good job casting the original crew (who knew the kid playing Kirk was the son of the guy who played the sargeant in CHIPS?). Throw in a few familiar quotes, a precocious little boy, ILM special effects and two Spocks and who needs more? I’m glad Joe suggested we watch it on the IMAX screen. IMAX is the way to see this movie, but you definitely need a big screen to watch this one. Now I just need to see Wolverine!

FREE CHOCOLATE!?! Yes, I kid you not. . .

Hello everyone!  This is actually Andrea, but right now I’m too lazy to actually register for myself when Josh’s info. and password is already saved for this. . . .  So, I happened to come across this through a banner ad at the top of a webpage.  And it’s legit.

Apparently M&Ms/Mars is running an ad campaign about how they use real cocoa butter in their chocolates instead of some fake substitute (lard maybe?), and so they have Free Chocolate Fridays, in which you can register on this site and get a coupon sent to you in six weeks for free chocolate.  You have 5 minutes in which to register, or you forfeit your coupon for that week.  And it has to be between 9 A.M. and 11:59:59 P.M. Eastern Time.

So, if you happen to be reading this TODAY, and it’s between those times, jump on it!  They only give out 250,000 coupons each Friday, so you don’t want to miss out.  And yeah, 6 weeks is a while to wait, but. . . hey, it’s free.  And if you make this a habit, then starting six weeks from now, you can have free chocolate EVERY WEEK!  What a concept!  (Maybe not as good as a Golden Ticket to Wonka’s factory, but in the real world, this IS gold!)

Here’s the website: www.realchocolate.com.

Love and chocolate to alla y’all! : )
