In 1851 John Freeman traveled with his family as part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lds.org\/churchhistory\/library\/pioneercompanysearchresults\/1,15792,4017-1-185,00.html\">David Lewis Company<\/a> to Salt Lake.  Noticeably absent from the company list of members was William H Freeman.  Some searching led to the discovery that he traveled with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lds.org\/churchhistory\/library\/pioneercompanysearchresults\/1,15792,4017-1-298,00.html\">Allen Taylor Company<\/a> two years earlier at the age of 16.  Some more searching led to finding that his future wife was a part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lds.org\/churchhistory\/library\/pioneercompanysearchresults\/1,15792,4017-1-117,00.html\">Warren Foote company<\/a> so we know that he didn&#8217;t travel with his family to pursue her.
