So I was studying for a Church History Test and got distracted and stumbled across some info that led to a question. In 1851 John Freeman traveled with his family as part of the David Lewis Company to Salt Lake. Noticeably absent from the company list of members was William H Freeman. Some searching led to the discovery that he traveled with the Allen Taylor Company two years earlier at the age of 16. Some more searching led to finding that his future wife was a part of the Warren Foote company so we know that he didn’t travel with his family to pursue her. Which leads me to ask if anyone knows why he did travel apart from his family?
I had a 10 AM class this morning, so I missed BYU’s first NCAA tournament win since 1993. It sounded exciting, with 2OT, so hopefully one of my intrepid siblings recorded the game…Go Cougs!
So here he his:
In case you forgot, he was born at 6:35 Friday morning at the hospital here in Cottonwood. He’s 7 lbs, 13 oz and 19 inches long. That’s a half inch shorter and a pound heavier than Elsie, so he’s more chubby than she was.
Andrea woke up around 4:30 and Grandma came over to watch Elsie so that we could go to the hospital. We got here at 5:00 and he was here an hour and a half later. He has really good timing, since I had just gotten everything for the next few days done at work, and we just finished cleaning the house.
He has to stay in the hospital at least 24 hours, so we’ll be home sometime tomorrow afternoon. We’re excited for him to finally be here, and it will be interesting to see how Elsie handles things with another baby in the family. The adventure continues…
I missed it yesterday, but. . . luckily you are going to be that old for a year. So. Happy, happy birthday from all of us to you! We wish it was our birthday so we could party, too! Hey!
