From: Elder Joshua Freeman Subject: Not too eventful Date: 7 March 2005 1:51:09 PM EST ÁHola! This week was more or less uneventful. Kind of. On Monday, we went and ate at the Chinese Restaurant and it was really good. After that, we just came home. When we went out to work in the afternoon, we went to VictorŐs house and we talked with him about the Holy Ghost and how you can recognize when youŐre feeling it. After that, we went to the L—pezŐ and shared a little with the Hno. After that, we had a Noche de Hogar in the capilla, which would have been really good, but a lot of people that were going to come didnŐt, but it was still good. And after that, we came home. On Tuesday morning, we had Zone Meetings. The Zone is now Elders Amelang and Woodbury in GuarambarŽ, Elders Richardson and Gonz‡lez (heŐs from Nicaragua) in Villeta, us, Elders Luna and Rivero (heŐs Argentine) in Yaguar—n, and Elders Workman and Jackson in Paraguar’. So the meetings went pretty well. In the afternoon, we went to the G—mezŐ. The Hna. says that sheŐll get baptized, but itŐs hard to tell if sheŐs sincere or not, just because of her personality. So weŐll see what we do with her. After that, we got fallar-ed, and then went to BenedictaŐs, who we had met 3 or 4 weeks ago. We talked about the Book of Mormon with them. After that, we tried visiting a couple more people that werenŐt home, then we went and talked with Ram—n, and he said he likes talking to us but is too old to do anything, but he did tell us to go to his 3 kidsŐ houses, so we did, and met a couple of them. After that, we went to the TaboadaŐs and shared a little with them. Then we went to the MarecosŐ and talked with them a little, then came home. On Wednesday, we did divisions with Paraguar’. Elder Jackson came here with me. HeŐs new, and heŐs from Pleasant Grove. Anyway, we had to take my bike to get fixed, so we did that and had to stay in that area for an hour while he fixed it, but none of the people that we visited were home. So we finally went back and got my bike again, then took some information to Blas for an order of another Elder. After that, we went to the SilveroŐs and had lunch, then came home and studied. In the afternoon, we went to CatalinaŐs and talked about tithing and fasting, and then we went to MartinaŐs and taught the same things. After that, we had to go by our house to get some stuff, then went to a meeting at the church, which started late. So by the time it was done, we didnŐt have time to go out and do anything before Noche de Rama. And that was pretty normal, and then we came home. On Thursday morning, we un-divided. Elder Gunter and I went to the Flia. GarridoŐs to ask the Hna about the reference family they had told us about, but she wasnŐt there, so we talked a little to her kids. Then we went to the OlmedoŐs and shared a little with them, then went to the Hno OscarŐs for lunch. In the afternoon, we got fallar-ed, then went to the G—mezŐ and they took us to the house of their cousin, and we taught her the 1» lesson. It went okay. After that, we went to the Flia. QuintanaŐs and shared a little with them. Then we went to VictorŐs and read with him. On the way there, Elder GunterŐs wheel broke, so we left our bikes at the Flia. LargostaŐs and then went and got fallar-ed a couple of times. Then we found a new guy and taught him the lesson 1, which went pretty well. Then we came home. On Friday morning, we went to study with the Elders in Villeta, but I took Elder Amelang with me so that he knows where their house is and Elders Gunter and Woodbury stayed in GuarambarŽ. That went pretty well. Then we came home. We went and helped clean the capilla and also took Elder GunterŐs bike to get fixed. And we had lunch with the Flia Largosta like normal. In the afternoon, we went to CatalinaŐs and talked about sustaining church leaders. Then we went to type up some stuff for an activity of the branch missionaries. Then we had free time, so we met some new people and taught a lesson 1. Then we got fallar-ed a couple of times, but at the last house, we talked to the guyŐs sister- and mother-in-law and taught them the 1»lesson, and that went pretty well. On Saturday morning, we went to the G—mezŐ and talked with the Hna. again about D&C 20:37. Then we tried visiting other people with no luck, so we went to the Flia. VegaŐs. They seemed to be doing a lot better than they have been, and they came to church on Sunday for the first time in a couple months, so that was good. After that, we went to the Flia. Fern‡ndezŐ for lunch. In the afternoon, we went and got some stuff for the activity, then went and got fallar-ed a couple of times. Then we went and got a couple more things for the activity, then went and shared a little with the Flia. Mart’nez. Then Estiben went with us to EvaŐs (the G—mezŐ cousin that we taught on Thursday) house, but she wasnŐt there, so we went to her parentsŐ house to look for her, and she wasnŐt there either, but we talked to her dad, and that went pretty well. Then we went to the church and had the activity. It went pretty well, and we explained them their responsibilities and stuff, and it was pretty fun. Then we cleaned up the capilla a little and came home. Yesterday, we had 100 people in church. Ida Fern‡ndez asked me to do her daughterŐs baby blessing, so I did. That was a first for me. Other than that, church was normal. In the afternoon, we did divisions with Federico and Estiben. Estiben came with me, and we went to the Flia. QuintanaŐs and started teaching the lessons over again. Then we went and read a little with Catalina. Then we went and visited an inactive lady. Then we met with the others to teach Raquel, but she fallar-ed us, so we split up again and we went and visited the Flia. Caballero. Then we un-divided at their (the Mart’nezŐ) house and Elder Gunter and I went to SaturninoŐs and read a little with him. Then we came home. ThatŐs all. This morning, we played soccer. It went okay. This week, we donŐt have anything special planned, so it should be pretty tranquilo. ThatŐs it from here. I Love You All!!! Love, Josh
