From: Elder Joshua Freeman Subject: My shoes are doing well Date: 24 January 2005 11:28:54 AM EST ÁHola! This week was pretty normal. It started getting really hot again, but then it rained again this weekend, so it cooled down a little. On Monday night, we went and shared a little with Martina and Francisco. Then after that, we tried visiting like five other people, but none of them were home, so we went and talked to Daniel a little. Then we went to the Flia. MarecosŐ and talked with them a little about baptism. Liliana said that they still want to get baptized before they move to Argentina, but IŐm not so sure about Mariano. So weŐll see what happens with them. On Tuesday morning, we had our normal meetings. In the afternoon, we went to CatalinaŐs and read a little with her. Then we got fallar-ed, so we went and did a verification from a lesson 1 we taught last week and then visited the Flia. Vega. After that, we went and visited another member that got baptized and used to go to church in LambarŽ, but now sheŐs going to start going here. Her nameŐs Melina. Then we went and got a Libro de Morm—n back from a guy who wasnŐt interested, and afterwards, we were just clapping houses and we found an inactive lady and her concubine (guess why sheŐs not active). Then we did a verification from Sunday night with Casimiro, who we taught the 1» lesson to on Sunday, and we read a little with him. After that, we went to the OlmedoŐs and had a good charla with them and then came home. On Wednesday morning, Federico came with us and we taught a couple of 1» lessons. So that was pretty good. In the afternoon, we went to the QuintanaŐs and shared a little with them. Then we went to DanielŐs and taught him the lesson 2. That went okay. After that, we got fallar-ed a couple of times, so we went and visited an inactive lady. Then we took the TV and stuff to the capilla, only to find out that there was no light because the bill hasnŐt been paid. But there were still people there, and Catalina and her kids came, so we played Pete’, which is Guaran’ for ŇoneÓ. ItŐs just like ÓUNOÓ. Anyway, at 8:00, it was too dark to see anymore, so everyone went home and we went to JavierŐs and talked a little with him before coming home. On Thursday morning, we went to the G—mezŐ and taught the lesson 3 to their mom, more or less. She knows she needs to get baptized, but doesnŐt want to yet. After that, we went and visited Natividad and Noelia, the inactives. We had lunch with the Hno. Oscar again, and then came home and studied. In the afternoon, we had to go to Paraguar’ to do a baptismal interview of Roger. HeŐs 12 and his older brother got baptized on Christmas. That went well. After that, we came home and went to Las Piedras. We went to the SilveroŐs house, and while we were waiting for Pte. To come home, we helped dig a little ditch in front of their house. Then he came home and we talked to him a little, and then went out to visit people. We went and talked with Lu’z Amarilla, the inactive. Then we went by a house where no one was home, and then we visited Diosnel. HeŐs the 18 year old that listened to the missionaries before. That went alright. After that, we came home and had a little extra time, so we studied, because we werenŐt able to in the afternoon. On Friday morning, we went to do verifications for the two 1» lessons we taught on Wednesday, but neither one was home. So we went by the CaballeroŐs and set up a cita for later. Then we finally got to talk to Jorge, a guy we had talked to a couple weeks ago. Then we went by the Fern‡ndezŐ because Ida (sheŐs 22) had her baby. It was born on Tuesday night, and sheŐs really tiny. Cute. Then we went and had lunch with the LargostaŐs. In the afternoon, we went to the fire station and taught the lesson 3 to Catalina and talked to her about baptism. She said she likes everything, but sheŐs not completely sure yet that sheŐs ready to be baptized, and also she has to talk to her husband, whoŐs living somewhere else. After that, we got fallar-ed and then taught a 1» lesson to a couple of people sitting out on the street. Then we got fallar-ed some more, so we went out to the GarridoŐs and then to the Flia. Ruizd’az (Casimiro) and taught him and his wife Cristina the 2» lesson. That went pretty well. Then we went to the Flia. Mart’nezŐ and had a good little charla with them and then came home. On Saturday morning, we went to the G—mezŐ and had a charla with them. Then we got fallar-ed, so we went and visited the Hno. Mor‡n for the first time in a while. HeŐs been working a lot. Then we had lunch with the Flia. Fern‡ndez. In the afternoon, we got fallar-ed a lot, so we found a new guy, Benito, and taught him a lesson 1. It went pretty well. After that, we went and talked with Victor (Largosta). He had a lot of good questions, so we answered those. Then we went to JavierŐs and had Correlation Meeting. And afterwards, we shared a little with Martina. After that, we got fallar-ed again, and then went to the Flia. MarecosŐ, but they didnŐt want to talk because their kids were being rowdy. So that was it. It rained early Sunday morning, so there was hardly anyone at church, even though it stopped around 6:30. So basically all the classes were all together. After church, we came home and ate and planned. Then Javier and Federico came to do divisions with us. Javier and Elder OŐBrien went to teach new member charlas and Federico came with me. We went to CatalinaŐs and read with her. Then we went and talked to a guy, Fidel Palacios, that we had met last week, and we gave him a Libro de Morm—n. Then we went and talked with Rodney Paredes for the first time in a long while. We talked about if he really has the desires to know that the Book of Mormon is true, and it went pretty well. After that, we met back up at our house to go to the baptism in Paraguar’. It went well, and a lot of their nonmember family was there. And there were a lot of refreshments. So, after everything, we came home. This morning, we went and played soccer, and it was pretty tiring, because we had less people. But oh well. Pte. Silvero said that next Sunday, weŐre going to move into the new capilla, for reals this time. So that should be good. ThatŐs about it from here. Thanks everybody for everything I Love You All!!!! Love, Josh
