From: Elder Joshua Freeman Subject: Another week Date: 8 December 2003 7:18:14 AM EST ﾁHola! How are you all doing? This week was pretty normal. Kind of. Last Monday night, we had a Family Home Evening with Eugenia`s family, and it was pretty fun. On Tuesday morning, we had our meetings like normal. It was pretty good. In the afternoon/night, we got around to a lot of charlas, and it was a pretty productive night. And we visited a big inactive family (big as in lots of kids) and they ended up coming to church yesterday for the first time in a long while. Which is cool. On Wednesday, It rained again, so most of the people didn`t even want to leave their houses, much less do it to talk to us. So the morning could have been better. In the afternoon, we visited members, and then we went to Rueben's house and taught them the 5ｻ and 6ｻ charlas, because we wanted to do their baptism interview before their marriage (scheduled for Friday). Reub始 told us that he didn't have his c仕ula (it`s like a social security card, sort of, and you have to have it to get married) but he said that he would try to go get it on Thursday afternoon. Then we went to Noche de Rama. It was pretty fun. On Thursday, we heard a wreck a couple lots down from our apartment. I`m surprised that`s the first one I`ve seen, because people are always driving crazy/stupid/fast on that road. Anyway, we got in a couple of charlas in the morning. In the afternoon, we did divisions with the other Elderes so that Elder Madruga (the District Leader) could go do Reub始ｫs baptism interviews. So I went with Elder Davis to their side of the city. We had a lot of people fall through on us, but we still got in a few good charlas. When we got home, we found out that Reub始 hadn't gotten his c仕ula, so we have to push the marriage and baptism back another week. Oh well. On Friday, we got in a few charlas in the morning. Then we went to our laundry lady`s house and had lunch, shared a message, and came home. In the afternoon, we got a lot of charlas, it was a really productive night. Actually, the whole day was really productive. Actually, pretty much the whole week was really good. Anyway, on Saturday, we met some new people and taught a few charlas. In the afternoon, we went and cleaned the church, but the kitchen, where all the brooms and stuff are stored, was locked, so we kinda had to break in. But not like Break in, because we just had to work on the window for a while to get it open. Anyway, other than that, the cleaning was normal, and we even got the window closed and latched again. After that, we taught a really good first charla to a really nice lady we met last week. It was sweet. After that, we visited a couple more members, and talked to a few more people before coming home. On Sunday, we went early to the church and had a Correlation meeting with the Branch President. They recently called a ward mission leader (in that Sacrament Meeting), so we`ll start working with him too. It was a normal testimony meeting, pretty good. After church, we had a little lunch, then went to Fernando de la Mora (It is to Asunci溶 like what Mesa is to Phoenix) for Choir Practice. It was pretty good. There's always the people there, though, that are just there to hang out, that can be a little annoying. Anyway, it was pretty good. After that, we came home and got in a few good charlas, then came home and made dinner with the other Elders. So that was the week. I got Melissa`s birthday package last week. Thanks a bunch! Ummm... I still haven`t been able to go Christmas shopping, I might be able to get some things today, but I don`t know. Either way, the stuff will be late. But it will come, eventually. It just might end up being Happy New Year stuff. But yeah, sorry about that. This week, we have Zone Conference, which means there's only like 2 weeks left in the change. That's crazy, it went by way fast. We should also have a marriage, if Reub始 gets his c仕ula, so we'll see how that works out. So yeah, good times in Ytororo. Thanks for everything you do!
